Gym Tip #3 – Bring A Water Bottle

How many times have you had to leave your machine to go to the water fountain, only to come back and find someone else using it?  How many times have you had to interrupt your workout to get a sip of water?  How many times have you had to wait 5 minutes in line just to be able to get to the water fountain?  How many times have you gotten up to the water fountain and been forced to try and slurp up as much water as you can from a nearly non-existant flow?

Don’t go through this hassle.  Bring your own water.

If you’re working out heavily, you should know that getting enough water throughout the day is of paramount importance.  But it’s also important to get enough water while you’re working out.  The last thing you need when performing intense exercise is to become dehydrated.  That will make you lose your energy, become sluggish, and lose focus.

Keep a bottle of water in the fridge and grab it before you head out to the gym.  Or, if you’re like some of the behemoths at the gym, you could carry around a gallon jug of water with you throughout the day and use that at the gym.  Whatever you do, make sure you’re staying hydrated, your workouts will be a lot better because of it.
