Since I got a lot of comments (and one hate email) from my previous article, I have decided that maybe it’s time for a “10 Things A Single Girl Should Never Do” article.  Here we go!

1. Be a Stage 5 Clinger – Guys are used to having the freedom to hang out with their guy friends whenever they want.  Guys still need there “bro time” even if they have a girlfriend.  When a girl comes along and takes that away because she wants to hang out with him all the time, it’s just not healthy.
2. Not act politely to a guy who approaches her – It’s hard enough being single and approaching a girl.  At least be polite and excuse yourself, or drop the subtle hint that you have a boyfriend.  No need to be rude.
3. Inappropriate stalking – There is the appropriate stalking of viewing his profile and maybe a Google search if you have no clue who the guy is.  But don’t log into his Facebook, bank, or email account.  Don’t check text messages on his phone or the call log.  Unannounced visits for ill-intentions are a no-no.
4. Talk about ex’s or leave pictures on Facebook of ex’s – There is a reason why you are not dating your ex, so why are you going to have the picture of you two with arms around each other on Facebook?  Delete the photo and depending on the type of relationship/breakup you had, de-friend your ex.
5. Be the man of the relationship – There are a bunch of scenarios I can think of for this rule, but I will not expand.  I’ll let you decide what I mean here.
6. Have shorter hair than the guy – I’m not saying girls should never have short hair, but it should never be shorter than the guy’s hair.  Some of my girl friends have short hair and they look really good!  Just don’t let the guy’s hair get longer than yours!
7. Play hard to get – I seriously hate mind games.  If you like the guy, why in the world would you play hard to get?
8. “Friend” the guy’s friends on Facebook without even meeting them first – I had a buddy’s girlfriend do that to me.  It was a little weird at first and didn’t think much of it.  After I realized she was a little off her rocker, I decided it definitely was weird, and no girl should ever do that.
9. Wear a ring on her left hand ring finger – If you are not in a relationship and you wear a ring on your ring finger on your left hand, you are basically saying that you don’t ever want a guy to approach you.  If you are in a relationship, and the girl puts a ring on her left ring finger, the guy wonders why there’s a ring on that finger that he didn’t put there.  The guy didn’t put it there, so that finger should be empty.  You can express yourself on all other fingers and toes.
10. Be completely dependent on a guy – Guys like their independence, and girls should too.  Girls should celebrate the guy’s independence by encouraging him to go out for guy’s night, and guys should celebrate girl’s independence by encouraging her to go out with her girls!
