Choosing wine can be an intimidating process. For some people, it can be difficult to dish out “x” amount of dollars and commit to a wine which they may or may not like – that’s where this review comes into play.
Once a week I will be reviewing two different wines – some good and some not so good – and it will all help to gear you toward making wine choices without hesitance. All the wines reviewed are purchased economically (most will be $25 or less), so you can purchase a great tasting wine on a budget!
Whether you are looking for a new wine to try, a bottle of wine to bring to a friends house or a wine to choose for a date, this review should aid you in your selection!
Salute!
J Vineyards: Pinot Gris
Ahhhh….. J Vineyards Pinot Gris – a most excellent selection of wine (and if you’re wondering, Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are the same grape varietal!) This wine is fragrant and floral on the nose with a crisp, clean and light mouth-feel. Very fruit-driven, this Pinot Gris has notes of green apple, mango and honeysuckle with subtle lemon infusion.

Nobilo Icon: Sauvignon Blanc
This is one of my new favorite wines! Not only does this wine have a seductive aroma, but it’s flavor is succulent as well! This Sauvignon Blanc is fragrant to the nose, has a light straw color and a smooth mouth-feel with a delightfully long finish. It displays notes of melon, mango and peach with other tropical notes such as passionfruit. Hands down, this is the best Sauvignon Blanc I have tasted thus far!
